PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the excellent operability of an endoscope while an overhang amount from an endoscope operation part is decreased. SOLUTION: In a light source box 14 which is arranged in the endoscope operation part so as to vertically project to an endoscope axis and stores a battery 24, a rear support body 17 is attached to a front support body 16, wherein a cylindrical conductive body 28 where a notch 28a is formed is arranged in a battery storage part 17a of the rear support body 17, and a contact piece 32 which is integrally formed of a spring-like contact piece 30 for battery connection and a movable contact piece 31 for a switch arranged to the inner surface side of the battery storage part 17a is attached to a rotary switch part 29 arranged on the rear end side of the rear support body 17. By the rotating operation of the rotary switch part 29, the movable contact piece 31 is moved to the notch 28a to be turned into an OFF state, and is also brought into contact with the side surface of the cylindrical conductive body 28 to be turned into an ON state.
