<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable lens unit by preventing dew condensation from occurring on a lens and drastically suppressing infiltration of external fine dust or dirt or the like into the inside (internal space) of a lens barrel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The lens unit 30 includes the lens barrel 10 holding the lens 20 inside, the lens 20 held inside the lens barrel 10, and a first annular member 1 fixing the position of the lens 20 by abutting on the principal plane of the lens 20. A circulation groove 2b, an outside communicating groove 2a making the circulation groove 2b communicate with the outside of the first annular member 1, and an inside communicating groove 2c formed at a position separate from the outside communicating groove 2a and making the circulation groove 2b communicate with the inside of the first annular member 1 are formed on an end face of the first annular member 1 abutting on the lens 20.
