PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inexpensive molded article with gas barrier property not peeling a gas barrier layer, and to provide a gas barrier property molded article obtained by the same. SOLUTION: The method for producing the molded article with gas barrier property includes an irradiation process for irradiating a molded article comprising a resin with radiations, and a polymerization process for contacting a gas barrier property imparting-scheduled surface among the surfaces of the molded article with an aqueous solution of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid to graft-polymerize the acrylic acid and/or the methacrylic acid in the outer direction and inner direction of the gas barrier property imparting-scheduled surface, thereby fixing the graft polymerization layer to the gas barrier property imparting-scheduled surface to form the gas barrier layer.
