<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong life of a filtering material and to reduce its cost by making a filter cartridge for water purification hardly cloggy and making water uniformly flow therethrough. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The filter cartridge 1 for water purification is constituted of an outside cylindrical porous filter 2 and an inside cylindrical porous filter 3 disposed in a concentric circular shape, a filtering material 4 charged in a space between the outside cylindrical porous filter 2 and the inside cylindrical porous filter 3, a sealing end cap 5 which supports one end part sides of both cylindrical porous filters 2, 3 and of the filtering material 4 and an open end cap 6 which supports another end part sides of both cylindrical porous filters 2, 3 and of the filtering material 4 and forms an outflow port 6a of purified water W'.
