PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weighing instrument for setting an error rate having effectiveness in a short time without returning to a setting mode by using actual data during a weighing mode in correction of the error rate. SOLUTION: The weighing instrument includes: the weighing mode; a setting mode for setting beforehand information for the execution of the weighing mode; and a commodity file for storing information about articles such as information for discriminating the articles, a unit weight, and the error rate, and determines whether weighing of a current article to be weighed is correct or not based on the error rate in the weighing mode and digitally displays the optional amount of the articles to be weighed and the weight thereof on a display part when it is correct.
