摘要 A method, data structure, and medium are provided for presenting advertisements to users through a social networking web site and tracking the interactions of users with the advertisements. Advertisements describing a product or service can be presented to users of the social networking site along with a plurality of communication options for communicating the advertisement to other users through the social networking site. Upon receiving a selection of a communication option from the user, the advertisement is accordingly communicated to other users through the social networking site. The interactions of those users with the advertisement is then tracked and reported to a third party. The cost of presenting the advertisement can be calculated based on the interactions of users with the advertisement.
