A first detection line (102) is set on the lower-temperature side of a limit line (104) indicating the upper limit temperature of a motor (60), which is the maximum temperature tolerated by an inverter (62). The first detection line (102) indicates the motor temperature which is the criterion used by a control unit (54) to switch from reusing hydrogen by using a circulating pump (28) to increasing the concentration of hydrogen as means for maintaining the stoichiometry of the hydrogen in accordance with a request output from a fuel cell (10). In accordance with the request output from the fuel cell (10), when the motor temperature exceeds the first detection line (102), the control unit (54) suppresses an increase in the rotational frequency of the motor (60), and adjusts the openings of a shut valve (22) and a regulator (23) to increase the concentration of hydrogen to be supplied from a hydrogen tank (21) to the fuel cell (10) and raise the supply pressure of the hydrogen. By performing the above operation, an increase in the motor temperature can be suppressed, and the stoichiometry ratio of the hydrogen can be maintained. |
