Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for displaying a point-of-interest in linear map data. The apparatus for displaying a point-of-interest in linear map data comprises: a point-of-interest display area determination part that determines at least one point-of-interest display area for displaying information on a point-of-interest in linear map data; a point-of-interest display conditions determination part that determines the point-of-interest display conditions for the determined point-of-interest display area; and a display part that displays the information on the point-of-interest in the linear map data on the point-of-interest display area according to the point-of-interest display conditions.
