<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device which is used for a display and excellent on color reproductivity. <P>SOLUTION: In the image display device including a semiconductor light-emitting device having a semiconductor light-emitting element for emitting excited light and blue light, an Eu activating beta type sialon phosphor for emitting green light by absorbing the excited light, and a red phosphor for emitting red light by absorbing the excited light and capable of emitting white light by mixing the blue light, the green light, and the red light, when the maximum value of light-emitting intensity in a light-emitting spectrum of the blue light is PI(max) and light-emitting intensity at a wavelength of 500 nm is PI(500) and light-emitting intensity at a wavelength of 520 nm is PI(520), the PI(max), the PI(500), and the PI(520) satisfy the following conditional expressions 1 and 2.
