<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive resin material for a color filter which can form a pattern excellent in pattern dimensional stability, margin for development, and sharpness in an edge form. <P>SOLUTION: A photosensitive resin component for the color filter includes as essential components (A) an alkali soluble resin compound having an unsaturated radical, (B) a photopolymerized monomer having an ethylenic unsaturated bond, (C) a photopolymerization initiator, and (D) a coloring agent made of a light shield pigment.
