<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power module which maintains operation stability even in a high-temperature environment and is easy to assemble, and a power conversion device. <P>SOLUTION: A power module (300) for vehicle is constituted so that the thickness of a power semiconductor element (328) which switches a current is ≤100 μm and the kind and material characteristics of an insulating substrate (334) having conductor layers (334k, 334r) bonding the power semiconductor element (328), and materials and thicknesses of the conductor layers positioned on the top and reverse surfaces of the insulating substrate are set within proper ranges. Especially, the thickness of the power semiconductor element is set to ≤100 μm, the sum of the thicknesses of the conductor layers wired on the top and reverse surfaces of the insulating substrate is set to 0.7 to 2.0 mm, and the thickness of the insulating substrate is set to 0.1 to 1.0 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
