<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a concentration of zinc in dust without increasing production cost while performing stable operation, in a method of producing molten metal by melting iron-based scrap by using a vertical melting furnace. <P>SOLUTION: Shredded iron-based scrap is used at a ratio satisfying 0.1≤A/B≤0.6 (A is amount of shredded iron-based scrap, B is the total amount of iron-based scrap). By optimizing the ratio of the shredded iron-based scrap in the total iron-based scrap, the stable operation secured in air permeability can be performed while increasing the concentration of zinc in dust. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
