PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle changing the method of treating a gas generated from a battery pack according to vehicle conditions at the time of normal usage. SOLUTION: The electric vehicle uses a vehicle-condition detection means 34, which detects various kinds of vehicle conditions; a battery abnormality detection means 28, which detects an abnormality of the battery pack 14; and a generated gas treating means 30, which prevents a gas generated from the battery pack from entering a cabin by changing the treatment according to the vehicle conditions when an abnormality of the battery pack is detected. This structure changes the response of the generated gas response means according to the conditions if an abnormality occurs to the battery pack and properly reduces the amount of the generated gas entering the cabin in accordance with the conditions.
