<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine and injection molding method with which such problems can be handled as weight increase and cost increase of a mold by making the mold structure complex caused by installing a parting block at a part of the mold defining a space between the fixed platen and the movable platen. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an injection molding machine 10 performing molding of an article by injecting a molten resin into a cavity C formed between the fixed mold 16 attached to the fixed platen 17 and the movable mold 19 attached to the movable platen 20, parting blocks 42 and 43 are installed on at least either of the fixed platen 17 and the movable platen 20 which defines the space between the fixed platen 17 and the movable platen 20 at the time of closing molds.
