<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an injector in a diesel engine from being damaged or undergoing similar failures and prevent troubles such as an outbreak of fire due to fuel leakage from injector-related sections from occurring. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A long side 1a in one end of an upper cover 1 covering an upper side of the injector 17 in the diesel engine is arranged in a position near an exhaust side of a head cover 3 of a cylinder head 2 and besides a long side 1b of the other end of the upper cover 1 is held to a cover stay 4 in a position near an intake side. Thus, an injector protection cover is structured. Then, as frontal and rear cover stays 4a, 4b, the cover stay 4 for holding the long side 1b of the other end of the upper cover 1 is fixed to frontal and rear faces in a position near the intake side of a cylinder block 5 and besides there is provided a hanging portion h for hanging each engine in its appropriate position.
