<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface protective film capable of being made to a wound superposed body or the like even when a soft adhesive agent is used, capable of easily peeling off an adhesive layer from a back surface of a base material even if the adhesive layer is adhered to a surface at an opposite side to a side of the base material where the adhesive layer is provided and capable of reasonably developing the wound superposed body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the surface protective film, the adhesive layer containing a rubber based resin component (X) and an adhesion giving resin (Y) is superposed on the polyolefin based base material. In the surface protective film, surface roughness Ra of the adhesive layer is 2-8 μm, a surface projection interval Sm is 25-50 μm, and the surface or the outermost layer of the polyolefin based base material at the side of the surface protective film where the adhesive layer is not superposed is subjected to friction treatment.
