PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic while improving the moisture-holding power of hair, without giving stickiness and a weight to the hair, giving a flexible and moist finishing feeling and also excellent in the prevention of a stiff and dry state at low humidity, and in a wet feeling. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains the following components (A) to (C). (A) A hydroxyether type cation expressed by general formula (I): R<SP>1</SP>-(OCH<SB>2</SB>CH(OH)CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>m</SB>-N<SP>+</SP>(R<SP>2</SP>)<SB>3</SB>X<SP>-</SP>[wherein, R<SP>1</SP>is a linear or branched 12-24C saturated or unsaturated alkyl: R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-3C alkyl; (m) is an integer of 1 to 3; and X is a halogen atom or a 1-3C alkyl sulfate group], (B) A fatty acid amide amine expressed by general formula (II): R<SP>3</SP>-CO-NH-(CH<SB>2</SB>)<SB>n</SB>-N(R<SP>4</SP>)<SB>2</SB>[wherein, R<SP>3</SP>is a linear or branched 13-23C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid residue; R<SP>4</SP>is a 1-3C alkyl; and (n) is an integer of 1 to 5] and (C) A higher alcohol having a 14-24C long chain alkyl group.
