<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin depositing and dispensing machine which prevents deposited spilt coins from being touched by operators or the like and safely stores the coins into a collecting box. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When coins conveyed from a sorted coin storage 9a-9f are stored into a collecting box 14, an opening of a coin dispensing port 13 disposed between the sorted coin storage 9a-9f and the collecting box 14 is closed with a shutter 17.
