<p>Provided is a lash adjuster of which an adjustment screw does not easily come off a nut member during the assembling or maintenance of an engine. In a lash adjuster comprising a nut member (14) having a female thread (15) on the inner circumference of same, an adjustment screw (17) having a male thread (16) on the outer circumference of same so as to engage with the female thread (15), and a torsion coil spring (18) for applying a torque to said adjustment screw (17) in a direction protruding from the nut member (14), the male thread (16) and the female thread (15) become engaged with each other by a length of at least one pitch or longer when the adjustment screw (17) is turned until the torsion coil spring (18) is restored to a liberated state.</p> |
