The container (1) has a base and a wall area (9) circulatingly projecting from an accommodating area, where the wall area exhibits a square peripheral form. Two edges of the wall area are provided opposite to each other and exhibit a length adapted to the width of a door rack of household refrigerators. The wall area is designed as a continuous extruded section. The wall area is provided with holders at an inner side for accommodating cooling packs. The holders are designed one-piece with the wall area. An independent claim is also included for a household refrigerator with an inner area for goods to be cooled.
