<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for repairing a fluid leakage section, which can be carried out easily at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: In a leakage hole 21 that occurs in a radiator tube 20, a blind rivet 1 consisting of a cylindrical body section 7, a flange 6 arranged in one end of the body section, and a mandrel 2 formed of a shank 3 inserted in an insertion hole 10 formed consecutively in the body section 7 and the flange 6, and a head 4 arranged in the end of the shank 3 with a diameter larger than that of the insertion hole 10, is inserted from the head 4, and the flange 6 of the blind rivet 1 is made to closely contact the peripheral surface 22 of the radiator tube 20. Then, the anti-head side region of the shank 3 is fractured to be separated by a notch formed in the head side region of the shank 3, and the anti-flange side end of the body section 7 is expanded in its diameter and deformed by bite of the head 4 to be an expanded diameter section 8, and made to closely contact the inner peripheral surface 23 of the radiator tube 20. In addition, coating treatment is given to the flange 6 and the peripheral surface 22 of the radiator tube around this by an oil-resistant coating material 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
