<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the update period of a random number related to a lottery in a hard-to-predict manner and, even if operating a start switch of a game machine at a fixed timing, prevent it from getting advantageous. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The game machine includes rotary reels, stop switches for stopping the rotation of the rotary reels, reel drive parts for actuating the rotary reels, reel position detection parts for detecting the rotating positions of the rotary reels, and a random number update stop signal generation part commanding to stop or restart the update of the random number at a predetermined trigger with respect to a random number generator. For example, the update of the random number is stopped based on a signal from the stop switch and restarted based on a stop signal of the rotary reel from the reel drive part or the reel position detection part.
