<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a sprinkler head in a mounted state onto sprinkler piping. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A cover for protecting the sprinkler head, which has a vertically opening cylindrical shape and is mounted onto the distal end of the sprinkler piping where the sprinkler head is fixed to the distal end, includes: a ring shape mounting part to be mounted onto a flange at the distal end of the sprinkler piping; a cylindrical hollow and porous protection frame arranged in one edge of the ring shape mounting part; and a lower opening ring arranged at the lower end of the hollow and porous protection frame. When the ring shape mounting part is fixed to the flange, the hollow and porous protection frame covers the outer peripheral surface of the sprinkler head via a prescribed interval.
