An equipment management device (10) stores in a first storage unit (16) failure data containing identification information pertaining to given equipment (60) that is received by a reception unit (11) and a first failure code. Meanwhile, repair progress data, which include identification information pertaining to the equipment (60) being repaired, a second failure code, and repair progress status data are stored in a second storage unit (17). A decision unit (13) refers to the second storage unit (17) and determines whether or not the identification information and the first failure code pertaining to the given equipment (60) match the identification information and the second failure code pertaining to the equipment (60) being repaired. When a decision is made that they match, a processing unit (14) adds the repair progress status data in the repair progress data to the failure data in the first storage unit (16) in order to update the failure data. An output unit (15) extracts and outputs failure data corresponding to the progress status out of the failure data in the first storage unit (16). Output of unnecessary failure data pertaining to equipment can be prevented by the equipment management device (10).
