<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the time required for supply of toner to a container for performing supply of toner to a photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus provided with a developing device adapted to supply toner within the container to the photoreceptor having an electrostatic latent image formed thereon includes: a density sensor 44 which detects toner density within the container 41; and a toner supply means 4 or 43 which can supply the toner to the container 41 and calculates a change rate of output value of the density sensor 44 in supply of the toner to the container 41, and regulates the supplying speed of the toner so that the change rate is matched to a preliminarily stored reference rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
