PLASTIC LENS AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical plastic lens with the abrasion resistance and the surface hardness improved without generation of cracking.

SOLUTION: A first solution containing one or more kinds of a metal oxide, and a second solution containing one or more kinds of an organic silicon compound are prepared as a hard coating solution for forming a film onto a lens substrate made of plastic. The hard coating solution is prepared with a mass ratio of the first solution solid component and the second solution solid component from 45/55 to 65/35. A film of the hard coating solution is formed on the lens substrate so as to be cured.
