PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation system suitable for vehicles and vehicle-used environment to achieve navigation with a small amount of data. SOLUTION: This car navigation system 1 renders a processing program 19 for navigational function into its setup condition suitable for vehicular information. It includes vehicular information acquiring means 14 to obtain vehicular information, obtained information determining means 15 to determine whether any user information included in the vehicular information exists in the possessed user list table or not, setup information generating means 16 to generate setup information based on the obtained user information if stored in internal memory 12, or generate setup information of initial value if not stored, when the obtained user information is determined not to exist in the user list table, setup information notifying means 17 to notify the generated setup information to the processing program, and setup information switching means 18 to switch setup information inside the processing program 19 depending on the setup information notified from the setup information notifying means.
