<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof camera housing capable of avoiding effect of backlash at a hinge portion while adopting a simple structure made of only a single waterproofing member, therefore achieving a perfect water tight structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this waterproof camera housing 1, one of side edges of a housing body 2 and one of side edges of a back lid body 3 are coupled by a hinge 4 to each other, lock mechanism parts 5 which lock or unlock the housing body and the back lid body are provided to the other side edges, and each entire opening inner periphery of the housing body and the back lid body is closely coupled via an O-ring 6. Positioning projection pieces 23a, 23b which position and couple the back lid body 3 to the housing body 2 at a fixed position, and a positioning mechanism consisting of positioning receiving parts 43a, 43b to which the projection pieces are closely engaged with each other are provided to the lock mechanism parts 5.
