<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for improving the refrigerating efficiency of a turbo refrigerator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This turbo refrigerator includes: a turbo compressor; a condenser; an expansion valve; a full-liquid type evaporator; and a control device for controlling an opening of the expansion valve so that the degree of inlet superheat reaches a predetermined target superheat degree Toha. The control device changes the target superheat degree Toha to the decrease side when the refrigerant vapor inlet flow of the turbo compressor is changed to the increase side, and changes the target superheat degree Toha to the increase side when the refrigerant vapor inlet flow is changed to the decrease side.
