PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode type water level detection device for detecting the water level for improving the detection accuracy of liquid level. SOLUTION: This electrode type water level detection device 20 includes a body section 24 held on the opposite to the liquid level W of the water stored in a reservoir tank 11 of a water tank device 1, a first electrode rod 26 projecting toward the liquid level W from the opposite surface 24a projecting from the opposite surface (bottom surface) 24a facing the liquid level W in the reservoir tank 11 of the body section 24, a second electrode rod 27 projecting from the opposite surface 24a toward the liquid level W, and a third electrode rod 28 projecting from the opposite surface 24a toward the liquid level W and having at its tip a contact member 30 whose lower surface comes into contact with the liquid level W when the liquid level W is positioned at the second water level H. The contact member 30 is formed so that its outer diameter is larger than that of the third electrode rod 28 and its bottom area is larger than the cross section of the third electrode rod 28.
