<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newspaper storage rack for a newspaper vending machine, surely delivering newspapers even after the newspapers are replaced or replenished. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The newspaper storage rack 5 for a newspaper vending machine includes: a rack 60 mounted on a body cabinet and capable of being drawn out from the body cabinet, for storing newspapers; a drive unit 51 mounted on the body cabinet; an arm 52 rotatably mounted on the drive unit 51 and moved forward from the deep part of the rack 60; and a hand 53 rotatably mounted on the arm 52 and equipped with a needle, and separates the hand 53 from the newspapers stored in the rack 60 to allow the rack 60 to be drawn out by bringing up the arm 52. The rack 5 also includes a rack arm interlocking means 7 for bringing down the hand 53 by rotating the arm 52 in conjunction with a storage operation of the rack 60 when the drawn-out rack 60 is stored in the body cabinet.
