<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus which can perform an accurate temperature control for a long period of time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This toilet seat apparatus 30 is equipped with a toilet seat on which a user sits, a heater which is built in the toilet seat, a base section 31 which freely turnably supports the toilet seat, and a control section 4 which is built in the base section 31, and at the same time, controls the heater 9. Further, the toilet seat apparatus 30 is equipped with: a switching element 7 which is built in the base section 31, and at the same time, switches power to be fed to the heater 9; and a temperature detecting section 8 which is built in the base section 31, and at the same time, is attached to the heat radiating section 7a of the switching element 7, and also, detects the temperature of the switching element 7. A control section 4 controls the heater 9 by controlling the switching element 7 conforming to the temperature which has been detected by the temperature detecting section 8.
