<p>Provided is an engine bench system for measuring the various characteristics of an engine (1) by coupling a dynamometer (4) through a shaft (3) to the engine (1). The engine bench system determines a dynamometer torque command (T2ref) from a coupling shaft torsional torque (an output torque) (T12), a dynamometer speed command (w2ref), a dynamometer angular velocity (w2) and dynamometer control parameters (Ki, Kp, b1, b0 and a1), and controls the dynamometer, thereby preventing the output torque and the speed from becoming vibratory. Here, the dynamometer control parameters (Ki, Kp, b1, b0 and a1) are determined by making the mechanical system of the engine bench system into a two-inertia system engine bench model so that the quintic polynomials to be determined from the equation of motion of that model and the closed loop characteristics of the dynamometer control characteristics may have properly set characteristics.</p> |
