<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical module which has a small number of components as well as high reliability, and which can be manufactured at a low cost, wherein time and labor for adjusting optical axes are reduced when optically coupling an optical transmission path and an optical semiconductor element using an optical waveguide for optical path conversion. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module manufacturing method includes: a process of building up uncured transparent resin 31 on an optical semiconductor element 21; a process of inserting an optical transmission path 22 into the built-up transparent resin 31; a process of separating the optical transmission path 22 inserted into the transparent resin 31 away from the optical semiconductor element 21 and stretching the transparent resin 31; and a process of curing the transparent resin 31 and forming an optical path guiding part 33 for transmitting light between the optical transmission path 22 and the optical semiconductor element 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
