<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wastegate valve control device of an internal combustion engine capable of adequately controlling the opening of a wastegate valve even if a mechanical play or the like occurs in a driving mechanism of the wastegate valve. <P>SOLUTION: In an engine 10 having a turbocharger 30, the wastegate valve 37 is provided in a bypass passage 36 for bypassing a turbine wheel 32, and the wastegate valve 37 is driven by a WGV actuator 42 having a mechanical coupling part. An ECU 60 controls the WGV opening at a predetermined control period. Furthermore, the ECU 60 determines whether a play occurs in the mechanical coupling part in the WGV actuator 42, and shortens the control period of the WGV opening control when the occurrence of the play is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
