PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a permanent magnet-type motor most suitable for sensorless drive by enlarging the dependency of impedance on a rotor position (saliency). Ž
SOLUTION: A permanent magnet-type rotary electric machine, which includes a stator having armature windings 2 and a stator core 1 and a rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets 4 and a rotor core 3, further includes a singular conduction circuit or a plurality of conduction circuits, which have first conductors 6 that extend in the axial direction of the rotor and are arranged at two or more positions in the circumferential direction of a rotating shaft 5 and second conductors 10 that electrically connect the first conductors 6 and are structured so as to surround the plurality of permanent magnets 4. The first conductors 6 arranged at two or more positions are structured with conductors of two or more having different resistant values. Induced currents different in magnitude are caused to flow according to the rotation angle of the rotor when, out of magnetic fluxes that generate a current that flows in the armature windings 2, a magnetic flux interlinking a space surrounded by the first and second conductors is changed and impedance changes according to the rotation angle of the rotor.
