<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To leave a content of printed labels as a log in a form of image data without providing a large-capacity storage area in a printer itself. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The label printer controls each process by a micro computer 101 (a control part) which executes processes according to a program preliminarily written on a flash ROM 104 (a memory) and executes: a process (1) of displaying on a liquid crystal display 4, an edit screen for editing a label image including transaction information to be printed on a label; a process (2) of editing the label image on the editing screen page based on information input by an input part (a key board 5, a touch panel TP); a process (3) of extracting the label image edited on the editing screen page as image data on an image memory of a RAM 105 and printing the label with a printer mechanism part 3 in accordance with the extracted image data; and a process (4) of producing an image file based on the image data extracted on an image memory and storing on a memory card 201 (an external memory part).
