<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-cast blade adapted to facilitate the proper self-sharpening of abrasive grains by causing worn or worn-out abrasive grains to come off smoothly, thereby preventing a substrate from causing particularly hook-shaped chipping, while maintaining mechanical toughness even if the blade thickness is extremely small by retaining the abrasive grains with a metal plating phase such as nickel, particularly when a hard brittle material is accurately cut. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electro-cast blade includes a circular thin plate-like abrasive grain layer 1 in which the abrasive grains 3 are dispersed and retained by the metal plating phase 2.
