<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a space required for installation, relating to a magnetic resonance diagnostic apparatus and a pump system adapted to such a magnetic resonance diagnostic apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vacuum pump 24 sucks a gas. A ventilation duct 21 connects the vacuum pump 24 and a sealed space 18 through a ventilation duct 23, and a ventilation duct 22 connects the vacuum pump 24 and an endothermic duct 17 through a duct inside a bed and the ventilation duct 23. A valve 25 changes a ventilation rate in the ventilation duct 21. A control circuit 27 controls the valve 25 according to a predetermined condition so as to keep the degree of vacuum in the sealed space 18 at a threshold or higher.
