<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic printer able to ensure stable image quality and paper conveyance by preventing separation failure and retransfer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic printer of an electrostatic transfer system provided with a transfer charger and a separating charger, a shield plate, which is an insulator, is disposed downstream of the transfer charger, thereby preventing transfer discharge from reaching the lowest point of a photoreceptor.
