摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain titanium dioxide excellent in photocatalyst activity and ultrahydrophilic function by a simple technique suitable for industrial production. SOLUTION: The surface of a base material composed of titanium or titanium alloy is subjected to anodic oxidation by applying a voltage under ultrasonic wave irradiation or to anodic oxidation under high current density conditions and thereby anatase type titanium dioxide having excellent crystallinity can be manufactured. Further, the surface of the base material is irradiated with ultrasonic waves, and the film produced by the anodic oxidation method by application of the voltage or the anodic oxidation method under high current density conditions is heat-treated, so that the anatase type titanium dioxide having the excellent crystallinity can be produced.
