FREEZE-DRYING DEVICE AND FREEZE-DRYING METHOD

Provided are a freeze-drying device and a freeze-drying method with which raw material recovery rate can be improved without requiring a baffle plate or other member to be provided. The freeze-drying device (100) is equipped with a container (4) for holding a raw material fluid (F), a freezing bath (10) constituting a vacuum chamber, a vacuum pump (1) for evacuating the freezing bath (10), and an injection mechanism (25) for injecting the raw material fluid (F) held in the container (4) into the freezing bath (10). Because a cold trap (20) is provided inside the freezing bath (10), a conventional phenomenon that the raw material is discharged out of the vacuum chamber together with water vapor can be prevented. Thus, the raw material recovery rate can be improved. Additionally, there is no need to provide the baffle plate near the discharge port of the vacuum chamber in order to prevent said phenomenon.
