The plug (1) has a contact carrier (2) i.e. housing plug, in which spring contacts (3, 4) i.e. bifurcated contacts, are fixable for forming a pole (5). Blade contacts (9) of a mating plug (10) are fixable at the pole, and the spring contacts together form an insertion opening (6). The spring contacts are differently designed, and have a different geometric shape in a contact region and different spring characteristics. The spring contacts are formed such that contact points (3a, 4a) of the respective spring contacts lie in an insertion direction of the blade contacts at different positions.
