The system has a driver (42) moving opposite to a seat of a vehicle for conveying a safety belt (12). A guiding system is provided in a vehicle door (20), where the driver moves between a front end position and a rear end position in a vehicle longitudinal direction (43a) and moves between a retracted condition and an extended condition with respect to a vehicle transverse direction (43b) relative to the vehicle door by the guiding system. A spring unit supplies spring force to the driver toward the retracted or extended condition. An independent claim is also included for a method for conveying a safety belt within a vehicle.
