<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas, which makes suspended particulate matter which is contained in the exhaust gas to be discharged from a diesel engine or the like, be burned at the temperature lower than the conventional one and efficiently decomposed/removed and which is sophisticated and excellent. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for cleaning suspended particulate matter-containing exhaust gas includes a compound oxide at least containing cerium, and a silver-containing metal or the compound thereof. The compound oxide includes cerium and Ln (wherein Ln is at least one element selected from the group composed of lanthanum, praseodymium, neodymium, promethium, samarium, europium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, polonium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, ruthenium, yttrium and scandium) and has a fluorite crystal structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
