PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and an image processing method for properly achieving correction processing by using each of the detection results of a main subject acquired by different equipment. SOLUTION: This image processor is configured to decide the face detection result of a digital camera and the face detection result of a printer, and to search reliability according to both the determination results, and to determine the strength of request correction processing and the weight of a primary subject and the region of the primary subject, and to determine the way of correction, and to execute image correction processing based on the determined way of correction.
