PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal metal fixture and a wire with a terminal which have improved thermal cycle characteristics and flexing resistance. SOLUTION: The bearing surface 27 of a wire barrel 16 that bears a wire 11 has a plurality of recessions 18, that are not only arranged in rows, at intervals in a first direction crossing the extending direction of the wire 11 at an angle of 85 degrees or larger to 95 degrees or smaller, but are also arranged at intervals in the extending direction, the recessions formed on the wire barrel 16, prior to being press-fit to the wire 11. The bearing surface 27 of the wire barrel 16 that bears the wire 11 has a groove 30, which extends in the first direction near the center in the extending direction, with the grooves being formed on the wire barrel 16, prior to being press-fit to the wire.
