PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform format conversion of an audio data without applying load to a central processing unit (CPU). SOLUTION: A first audio format conversion processing section 12 including a data write register before conversion, a format indication register before conversion and an input audio format conversion processing section, and a second audio format conversion processing section 16 including a format indication register after conversion and an output audio format conversion processing section, are provided. The input audio format conversion processing section converts a format of the audio data stored in the data write register before conversion, to an intermediate format, according to a content of the format before conversion, which is set in the format indication register in advance by the CPU 18. The output audio format conversion processing section converts the audio data of the intermediate format, to the audio data of the format after conversion, which is set in the format indication register after conversion in advance by the CPU 18 beforehand.
