The present invention relates to an accessory for enriching the environment of animals living in captivity, in particular for non-human primates. This accessory (1) is made of a material that is degradable, in particular by a mechanical stress applied by the animal, the said material consisting of a compressed mixture of two products: a matrix (2) consisting of cellulose, in which appetizing elements (3) are dispersed, the said appetizing elements (3) representing between 5% and 20% of the overall mass of the said accessory (1). Preferably, this matrix consists of cellulose plates (2), compressed with the appetizing elements (3) in a density between 0.6 and 1.8 g/cm3. |
