The vehicle has a primary flap (102) provided as a part of a two-part rear flap (201), and an operating element for actuating the primary flap. Another operating element is provided for actuating the rear flap, where the operating elements comprise switches and pushbuttons. The rear flap is openable and closable by a spindle drive and/or electrical, hydraulical and/or pneumatic drive. Each operating element is arranged in the rear flap and/or in a remote control and/or in an inner space of a motor vehicle. The primary flap is arranged in a lower part of the rear flap. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a two-piece rear flap of a motor vehicle.
